DAVAO CITY – On February 26, the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office 11 (DOST 11) Region Director, Dr. Anthony C. Sales, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Community Economic Development (CED) projects in the Peace and Development Communities (PDCs) with the Action for Conflict Transformation (ACT) for Peace Programme, represented by Sec. Jesus Dureza, the National Programme Director.

BUTUAN CITY – New Zealand Ambassador Andrew Matheson together with Renaud Meyer, country director of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and Sec. Jesus Dureza, presidential adviser on Mindanao, will meet with key leaders and visit communities in Agusan del Sur and Butuan City starting today as he reaffirms New Zealand’s commitment to work with local stakeholders in advancing peace and development in the region.

KIAMBA, Sarangani— Blessed with a bountiful sea and a fertile land, the village of Datu Dani here, an erstwhile “no man’s land” decades ago, is rebuilding its lost glory.
“Before the war broke between the government and the Moro rebels, life here was basically good. Many capitalists were around that makes our place a bustling business zone,” recalls 52-year-old Abulhasen Udda.
