Sustaining peacebuilding efforts calls for greater involvement and joint commitment of individuals, groups and institutions from the private and public spheres. As such, the Programme is actively pursuing partnerships or collaboration between and among local government units, government agencies, private sector, civil society organizations and other donor programs in pursuing peace and development in Peace and Development Communities (PDCs) and in promoting the culture of peace to enhance the enabling environment for peacebuilding and conflict transformation. Across PDCs, the Programme is assisting communities in forging partnerships with other programs or private organizations. The Programme also helps bring together partners from different fields to share expertise and resources in order to address concerns in the communities or issues that have impact on peace at the provincial, regional and national levels. The Programme’s partners include local government units, government line agencies, the academe, civil society, and other donor programs. |
