Provincial Government of Sarangani Province The partnership involves establishing a mechanism to sustain the gains of the GoP-UN Multidonor Programmes peace and development efforts in the province by continuing the peacebuilding initiatives in 18 PDCs of the province, replicating the PDC approach to other 32 barangays and instituting a sustainable mechanism for peace and development interventions in the province. The partnership commenced in 2006. Provincial Government of South Cotabato through the Development Alternative Framework (DAF) - Project The Programme and the Provincial Government pooled their respective resources to bring the needed services to the 13 PDCs in the province to improve the lives of the people in the communities. The 13 PDCs are among the barangays where peace and development efforts are being pursued by the Province under its DAF - Project. To sustain such initiatives, a Technical Working Group was created to be at the forefront in implementation of projects. The partnership commenced in 2006. Provincial Government of North Cotabato The partnership involves implementation of peacebuilding projects in 24 PDCs in the province. Among the key activities conducted were the updating of the Participatory Resource Appraisal-Barangay Development Plans of the 24 PDCs and integrating these BDPs into the municipal and provincial plans as well as organizing the Provincial Peace and Development Committee. The partnership commenced in 2007. Provincial Government of Davao del Sur The partnership covers the implementation of peace and development initiatives in 17 PDCs in the province. Among these efforts are the conduct of capacity building activities for LGUs and Line Agencies as well as strengthening of the Technical Working Group. Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat The partnership involves the implementation of peace and development initiatives in 21 PDCs in the province. Among these efforts are the conduct of capacity building activities for LGUs and Line Agencies as well as strengthening of the Technical Working Group. Provincial Government of Agusan del Norte The partnership involves development and conflict transformation in five communities identified by the Provincial Technical Working Group to be supported by the Programme. The interventions include community organizing, strengthening of people’s organizations, capacity building activities and other initiatives that promote human security and contribute to the Millennium Development Goals. Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur The partnership involves development and conflict transformation in five PDCs in the province. The interventions include community organizing, strengthening of people’s organizations, capacity building activities, implementation of projects and other initiatives that promote human security and contribute to the Millennium Development Goals. Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte The partnership involves development and conflict transformation in five PDCs in the province. The interventions include community organizing, strengthening of people’s organizations, capacity building activities, implementation of projects and other initiatives that promote human security and contribute to the Millennium Development Goals. Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur The partnership involves development and conflict transformation in five PDCs in the province. The interventions include community organizing, strengthening of people’s organizations, capacity building activities, implementation of projects and other initiatives that promote human security and contribute to the Millennium Development Goals. Provincial Government of Palawan (thru the Provincial Planning and Development Office) Establishment of Peace Center in Palawan based at the Provincial Planning and Development Office. Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte The Programme together with the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte and Regional Development Council X jointly implemented the G4 (Garden of Go, Grow and Glow Foods) project, which is seen as a practical strategy to combat malnutrition, in 10 PDCs of the province. The areas of collaboration include: training/capability building on Bio-Intensive Gardening and Fishpond Culture, simple food preparation and processing; provision of technical assistance, seeds, seedlings, fingerlings and other inputs; documentation of collaborative efforts, processes and good practices. Municipal Government of Payao (Zamboanga Sibugay) The partnership involves the development of the seaweed industry in the eight PDCs in Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay. Still at the early stage of implementation, the Programme and the Payao MLGU are establishing linkages to private and business groups, concerned Government agencies and other players in the seaweed industry for technical assistance. |
